Mike Heatwole

As Executive Vice President and Partner, Mike Heatwole focuses on serving the risk management and insurance needs of Ames & Gough’s largest design-firm clients. Known for his sharp eye for contract and policy language, Mike is often asked to lead internal risk management seminars for clients, helping them anticipate and mitigate risk before it becomes a problem.

Mike joined Ames & Gough in 1995 after spending 12 years at Victor O. Schinnerer, where he became assistant manager of the National Accounts Division of the Architects/Engineers Program. A graduate of the University of Maryland, he also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
