Marguerite Parent

As Senior Vice President and Partner, Marguerite Parent was instrumental in creating Ames & Gough’s property and casualty division and continues to lead its growth today. Based in Boston, she manages the property and casualty needs of our large architecture and engineering clients across our Boston and Washington, D.C. offices, with a focus on geotechnical, water and wastewater, and environmental and civil transportation engineering firms.

Marguerite joined Ames & Gough in 2006 after building her insurance career at William Gallagher Associates, where she created and managed their Emerging Client Group, and at Thomas E. Sears Insurance & Reinsurance Brokerage as a technical assistant and account manager in both the reinsurance treaty and excess umbrella departments. A summa cum laude graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in finance, she also holds the Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute.

Clients appreciate Marguerite for her deep expertise and approachable, hands on style. Outside of her work with clients, she enjoys spending time with family, offering the occasional haircut when needed (she’s a former salon owner), oil painting, writing, attending comedy shows, traveling with friends, and dividing her time between Boston and sunny Florida.
