Allison Buytenhuys

Allison Buytenhuys is a Senior Vice President and  Partner at Ames & Gough, where she plays a central role in the firm’s operations and long-term growth. Based in the Washington, D.C. office, Allison oversees a broad range of administrative and human resource functions, including accounting, technology, office administration, licensing, and the firm’s employee benefits. Her leadership ensures that Ames & Gough’s internal infrastructure remains strong, efficient, and positioned to support the firm’s clients and team members alike.

Allison joined Ames & Gough in 2001 and has been instrumental in shaping its operations for more than two decades. She became an equity partner in 2015 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2020, reflecting her deep institutional knowledge, dedication, and proven ability to manage the firm’s most critical support functions.

Prior to joining Ames & Gough, Allison began her career as a marketing assistant with Victor O. Schinnerer, where she gained valuable early experience in the insurance and risk management industry.

A proud alumna of Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business, Allison graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. She continues to draw on that foundation today, combining her business expertise with a collaborative leadership style to drive operational excellence across the firm.
