Joan DeLorey

Based in our Boston office, Joan DeLorey is a Senior Vice President and Partner at Ames & Gough. For more than 30 years, she has specialized in professional liability insurance for architecture and engineering firms, with a focus on mid-size and larger clients. Joan is widely recognized for her expertise in coverage issues, renewal negotiations, and risk management strategies that help design professionals protect their business and strengthen client relationships.

Joan began her career at AON (formerly Frank B. Hall), where she served architectural and engineering clients for eight years before joining Ames & Gough in 1994. She holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation, a Certificate in General Insurance, and the Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation.

Outside of work, Joan enjoys spending time with family and friends and especially loves the Maine coast, where she finds time to relax and recharge.
